NOW ACCEPTING CLIENTS

She/Her/Hers

My Origins:

For as long as I can remember, I have been passionate about helping others. Throughout my life, I have been drawn to roles that involve supporting, encouraging, and walking alongside people as they navigate challenges and discover their strengths.

My professional journey began in education, where I currently work as a special education teacher. Working closely with students and their families has given me a deep appreciation for the resilience people demonstrate in the face of adversity. It has also reinforced my belief that every individual deserves to feel understood, valued, and supported. Through these experiences, I discovered a growing desire to help others not only academically, but emotionally and personally as well, which ultimately led me to pursue counseling.

I earned my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Baylor University and am currently completing my Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Lamar University. Throughout my training, I have developed a strong appreciation for the healing that can occur when individuals are provided a safe and supportive space to share their experiences and explore meaningful change.

I am particularly interested in working with adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, self-esteem concerns, perfectionism, and life transitions. I also have a special interest in supporting individuals struggling with eating disorders and body image concerns.

Therapeutic Approach:

My therapeutic style is collaborative, person-centered, and tailored to each client's unique needs. I believe healing occurs through connection, trust, and the courage to show up authentically. I strive to create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel safe exploring their experiences, emotions, and personal strengths.

I recognize that every individual brings a unique story into the counseling process. Because of this, I approach therapy with curiosity, empathy, and respect for each client's lived experience. My goal is to meet clients where they are while supporting them in developing greater self-awareness, resilience, and confidence in navigating life's challenges.

Drawing from evidence-based counseling practices and current clinical training, I work collaboratively with clients to identify meaningful goals, strengthen coping skills, and support lasting personal growth. I believe that meaningful change happens when clients feel empowered, understood, and supported as they move toward a life that aligns with their values and goals.

Personal Note:

When I'm not working, studying, or counseling, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, reading, walking my dog, and finding opportunities to be outdoors. I value genuine connection and believe some of life's greatest joys are found in sharing meaningful moments with the people we care about.

Whether in my personal life or my work as a counselor-in-training, I strive to lead with empathy, authenticity, and compassion. My hope is that every person who enters the office feels seen, supported, and reminded that they do not have to navigate life's challenges alone.
